Just the other day, we went for a picnic. It was a rare occassion as it is rather hard to find the time where both parties are free to prepare a picnic and be at the beach in time for one. Life in the city is just that hectic.
It was a bright and cool day where the winds were also on our side. There were many tents in sight and people cycling and blading as well. It was a little of a challenge identifying a place to 'park' ourselves as the entire coastal line was dotted with tents! Appears a fair number of folks decided to enjoy the seaview during the hols.
It was a simple picnic and we had homemade goumet sandwiches (i have now learnt how to grill button mushrooms) and german saugages for our snack. As the feedback was rather positive, I felt the effort of puchasing and preparing were worth it and I am rather encouraged to make more of such sandwiches in future. ;-) It was an excellent day to spend a leisurely afternoon. :-)
Dinner followed at the airport and T3 remains our favourite. It was spacious enough for the crowd and there exists a fair selection of food joints. One could also 'shop' a bit after dinner.
Indeed, overall, it was an enjoyable day. ;-)
